Abdelhamid Bouhelal received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Renewable Energy Systems, through a joint doctoral program between the École Nationale Polytechnique (ENP) in Algiers, Algeria, and the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) in Montreal, Canada. He began his academic career in 2019 as an Associate Professor at ENP, Algiers, before joining the University of El Oued, Algeria, in 2025.
His research focuses on the modeling and optimization of renewable energy systems, with particular emphasis on wind and solar energy technologies. His expertise includes computational fluid dynamics (CFD), aero-thermodynamic analysis, and the integration of artificial intelligence and deep learning techniques to improve the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of green energy systems.
